I decided to sell my town home in Saratoga, CA. I had little experience in the process of selling a house, a real concern that the market was going to be very difficult, and ongoing plans for several months of travel outside the U.S. with my daughter. I knew that getting the right Realtor was crucial.
I interviewed several Realtors and chose Richard and Candace Crouch based on their years of experience in the area, their willingness to handle issues in my absence and what seemed to me to be the most realistic plan for maximizing my profits.
Prior to leaving the country I managed to move most of my belongings into storage. Candace helped with the final pieces and began the process of updating the town home to attract buyers.
Would this work? I left the country fairly confident, but still ...
When I returned I found an offer waiting that was above our asking price. Richard had kept me in touch with the progress in preparing the unit for sale and their plans for showing the house. I was in the loop all the way even on a houseboat on the upper Nile.
