My Brief Bio
ABOUT MICHELLE KLURSTEIN…
I attended San Francisco State University majoring in English and began my career in consumer sales with Capitol Records, the BIC Pen Corporation and most notably, started a company at the advent of the fashion boom for designer eyewear in department stores in the early 80's. During the growth stage of that market, my company became the most successful distributor of sunglasses in every department store in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the early 90's, the inspiration shifted while developing a remarkable residence in Belvedere and managing commercial real estate in San Francisco. Marin has been my home since 1989. In 2001, I began my career in residential real estate in Marin County.
Through 16 years of intense focus, my understanding of Marin’s real estate market has become razor sharp and was further enhanced during my term as Vice President of the Shelter Bay Homeowner's Association of 107 condos from 2006 to 2008.
Outside the office, I raised my daughter in Belvedere and Mill Valley, who now, as a 24 year old UCLA graduate (having attended Mt. Tamalpais School & Tam High), has a successful career in advertising in New York City. World travel, hiking, the deYoung Museum, SF Symphony, skiing and community service fill my life outside real estate. I had the good fortune to live in Florence, Venice (Italy) and Paris full time for 3 years and Paris part time for 10 years. My understanding of the luxury market has been deeply influenced by this enriching personal experience.
