My Brief Bio
ABOUT MICHELLE KLURSTEIN…
I was an English major at San Francisco State University and had early success in consumer sales with Capitol Records, the BIC Pen Corporation and most notably, helped create the concept of designer sunglasses as a fashion statement in department stores in the early 80's. During the growth stage of that market, my company became the most successful distributor of sunglasses in every department store in the San Francisco Bay Area. With the birth of my daughter in the early 90's, the inspiration shifted while developing a remarkable residence in Belvedere and managing commercial real estate in San Francisco. In 2001, I began my career in residential real estate in Marin County.
As I mentioned on my website introduction page, I have been a recipient of the Agent Achievement Award for sales volume for several years since 2004. In September 2009, after nine years with Pacific Union Real Estate in Mill Valley, I made the decision to make the move to Alain Pinel, whose marketing and leadership platforms better serve my clients...and so glad I did!
My understanding of the depth of Marin’s real estate market was further enhanced during my term as Co-President of the Shelter Bay Homeowner's Association of 107 condos from 2006 to 2008.
Outside the office, my 22 year old daughter will graduate in June from UCLA. I continue my service to the arts as an Accredited Docent for the de Young Museum and Legion of Honor in San Francisco since 1995. Currently, it is my pleasure to serve as Alain Pinel's Corporate Liaison for the Mill Valley Film Festival and I lead an annual event at the Throckmorton Theatre, honoring our company’s cultural commitment to this community. Through the years, it was my pleasure to support both Mt. Tamalpais School and Tamalpais High through the Tam High Foundation in Mill Valley. I spent 10 years living part of each year in Paris and we can have a chat in Spanish, French or Italian. I love to hike and ski...and am a Patron of the San Francisco Symphony for many years.
