Thirty plus years in this field have given me a perspective many agents do not have. From the 22% prime rate, the 18% home loan rates, creative finacing, subject to's, wraps, 2%/month appreciation, three down markets, many up markets and now REO's, short sales, foreclosures, like The Man said, "Been there. Done that".
I have, historically, worked a large area; from Hercules through San Leandro as well as the Lamorinda area on the theory that while there may not be a house in one area which would fit a client's needs there very well could be one a mile away in a different community which would. While much, much information is now available on the Internet it can't replace the 'Boots on the Ground' information. This is what Realtors get paid to do. Markets are volatile and vary from neighborhood to neighborhood, from community to community and in some cases from block to block and so while the Trulia's and Zillow's of this world may give one a broad overview only a Realtor with actual, first hand knowledge of a particular market can provide the details and information you need, both as a buyer, or seller, to make an informed and intelligent decision. This is something I feel I have accomplished over the years in this profession.
