Pacifica is in close proximity to San Francisco and larger cities. Eventhough it is a relatively young community, it is rich in history. "Pacifica" was suggested as a name since it means "peace". Points of Interest in this very diverse coastal community are Milagra Ridge, Frontierland Park, Shelldance Orchid Nursery, Pacifica Pier, and San Pedro Valley County Park. It is just minutes away from the Bay Area Rapid Transit System and San Francisco International Airport.
