“Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom,” wrote James Allen. Steve maintains his poise of character and a sense of humor, even in stormy weather. After all, Steve learned sales from the bottom up. When you’re 12 years old in the Shoen family, you work at Mom and Dad’s women’s salon shoe store. You learn early on to “put your name” to all you craft and produce.
From his San Francisco marketing and public relations work days, to the 28 years in real estate, his corporate and street experience consistently bring results for his clients. First, he listens to and understands his clients’ wants and needs. Then, he finds a way, as a team, to help create that lifestyle they want. “No surprises at the end” is Steve’s motto. It’s why his marketing plan is called the Smooth Ride Selling System.
“Steve, we all owe you a great debt of gratitude. ‘Kudos’ for the dedication, good judgment and panache that you consistently exhibited during this entire process.” –Mike Moynahan, Jesuit Pastor
Steve was honored early in his career by Coldwell Banker as A top 5% producer. Steve has been one of Marin's top sales producers ever since. Today, Steve is proclaimed by his clients as a marketing and negotiating expert. He joined Alain Pinel in 2009 for their unmatched reputation and first-class presentation of homes.
In bad and in good markets, Steve sold 94.7% of 100’s of homes he’s listed. That fact has been of great benefit to his clients for the great peace of mind it has given them. Steve knows the Marin market, the best mortgages, trends, opportunities and the local scene. He loves creating a good life for all.
“Your efforts on behalf of your clients demonstrate your desire to provide excellent service. You have the energy and the will to achieve any success you and your clients desire.” -Virginia bush, former president of Marin Board of Realtors
When not helping his clients prepare their home for sale or closing the escrow, Steve enjoys playing his 5 string fiddle for Bread and Roses, a charity organization. He is involved in local schools and in his community.
Steve is active in the Marin, San Rafael, and Novato Chambers. He serves on the Board of Hamilton Community Foundation; has served on the Love Is The Answer (LITA) board; and serves on the Novato “Permits Committee”. Steve resides in Novato with his daughter, Emma, a fifth grader at Hamilton School, and his son, Nick, a college freshman.
